Dominant voices in society claim that humanity is the product of chance — that over vast periods of time molecules came together randomly to produce our distant ancestors, with no intelligent cause behind our existence.
However, over recent years, the staggering nature of the human body has been unearthed in greater detail than ever before, questioning the prevailing view of origins.
Professor Stuart Burgess has spent years at the forefront of modern engineering, working on the design of satellites, Olympic bicycles, and many other advanced technologies. He will explain why the human body is an example of “Ultimate Engineering” — astonishing in its complexity, compelling us to acknowledge our Almighty Creator.

Professor Stuart Burgess is Professor of Engineering Design at the University of Bristol, and has also taught engineering design at Cambridge University. He was the lead designer of the solar array deployment mechanism of four major earth observation satellites: ENVISAT and METOP A, B and C. Professor Burgess also led the design of the chain drive for Team GB cycling for the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.
