Our 2014 theme was on the Biblical fact of the global flood of Noah’s day and the evidence of recent discoveries.

Our 2012 theme was 1924 Olympic Champion, Eric Liddell, who as a Christian refused to run in the 100m on a Sunday, but won gold instead in the 400m and bronze in the 200m. A linesmen gave him a Bible verse just before he ran the 400m race, which simply contained God’s promise: “They that honour Me, I will honour“.

Christians are proving this verse of scripture true today. When we stand for God’s truth, we are never losers.

Jesus said: “And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” Matthew 19:29.

Eric died on 21 February 1945 in a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp in China whilst serving as a missionary. His memory is still honoured by Chinese Christians today.
